FCC Sirius Issues
Written by admin on June 24, 2010 – 6:53 am -FCC is the radio "to approve the merger between XM and Sirius, the only two companies of satellite radio. NAB and the Congressional Black Caucus with a transition fusion occurred. The problem as usual … Black Caucus Policy is not enough minority stations as part of the merger. NAB is the problem of competition. They believe that government should radio for increased competition by allowing two financially linked satellites only> Companies Radio merge. They claim a monopoly of this merger. This is a weak argument at best. If Sirius and XM was the fun that only the healthy society, it would be a monopoly. Are far from what all the various devices now available for consumer entertainment. A better argument would have been to NAB to submit a lawsuit against XM-Sirius merger due to the lack of full compliance with FCC rules and regulationsterm as the radio stations were granted licenses for businesses. They were not made interoperable receivers, they do not, they had to act to protect the ground of interference with their radio stations that broadcast repeatedly, they did. It would also mandate the beginning, not allow the two companies to merge in any scenario. Now it is surrounded by a favorable decision on the FCC to come. Alreadyall thought it was a good idea. Why not? Some authors. They point out that I was in the radio business. 'S true, but I love competition. Free market competition. With competition. The best and brightest emerging best way to consumer products for better service.
The NAB, we are members, represents the old guard of big public companies were afraid of competition. They have become fat and lazy, and now in a battle for life to stay viable in a changing medialandscape. What is lacking in free elections, ideas, activities and new content from top to bottom. The public does not have the necessary skills consolidators something really new and nice to do for fear of Wall Street whiplash back. When CBS hired Dan Mason as CEO, returned to a guy who had a radio most successful programs ever seen. So start changing all over the country from one format to oldies programming on FM stations. With the wide range of music, the result is a greatthe public is back in droves for the first non-driving. As a pro, but even then, that an Oldies format is a quick fix. I'm sure when he is a small private company in relation to major public CBS, we would see more innovation and risk Dan and people like him that this sector hurts to lose.
Same old radio dog breath for the last 10 years to die. This is an exciting time in the media.multimedia options for those who love to embrace challenge and be involved again. Get ready. The shift will happen in the radio business. Who embrace it and look in the future will flourish. Consumers and advertisers will benefit greatly from what happens in show audio.
